Christmas Lights are simply a tradition, as well as some of the most festive holiday things you can do.

I think of multicolored lights  as traditional, although lights are available in far more shapes, colors, patterns and more than you can possible imagine. You can even chose the wire color in some cases so it blends in well!

are traditional, and I use a lot, but I love clear and  white Christmas lights also. They are just amazingly flexible and convenient. Whether they are simple traditional lights, special shapes like snowflakes or stars or even ropelight, they are the brightest .

Of course single colored strings are lots of fun too. Many can be chained together safely to make long long strings - always check directions for safety.

Lights can be strung on bushes, trees, along fences, the outline of your house and much more to achieve some pretty neat effects.

And many artificial trees, topiary animals, Christmas silhouettes and more come pre-lit.
